Hi,
If one of those versions is by King Curtis, it isn't that far off from the
original (which was done in 6 parts, 3 of which was released on the King LP
"Everybody Dance To The Honky Tonk," which I have on vinyl), and has Bill
Butler on guitar, who was the same guitar player on the Bill Doggett
sessions. However, you should find it on CD on the King label in a
collection "Bill Doggett---16 Greatest Hits," which contains parts 1 & 2,
and you can get a copy of the CD thru http://www.bluebeatmusic.com.

Been trying to find a download of Bill Doggett's "Honky Tonk", done in the
fifties. Napster has several versions, but not his, as far as I can tell.
Odd,as he made it popular. Any ideas? I want the sax part, in particular.
